Meet You At The Hippos

In Meet You at the Hippos, actor Mark Bonnar is on a mission to understand more about the Scottish new towns he grew up in. He does this through the concrete animals, totem poles, decorated underpasses and abstract expressionist standing stones that make up the new towns’ public art.

Mark is returning to his roots to discover why the new towns are there, how they enticed people out of the bigger cities, and to uncover the surprising ways public art changed the new towns and the new towns changed public art.
