Second Star to give Life Hacks a magic spin for BBC Three

BBC Three have commissioned a brand new short form content series for online from Second Star and Money Realty.

LIFE HACKS (working title) will see magician Ben Hart, star of Objective’s award-winning BBC Three series Killer Magic, take on a host of seemingly simple tips and hints to help simplify every-day life.

20 x 3 minute episodes will see Hart persuade a range of unwitting members of the public that he’s showing them ways to be more efficient with a range of exciting and impressive lifehacks. But all is not as it seems.

Produced by Objective Scotland, Life Hacks is a co-production from the newly created Objective Factual Entertainment label, Second Star, and Money Realty. The series is commissioned by Acting Controller, BBC Entertainment Commissioning Alan Tyler and Controller of BBC Three Damian Kavanagh. It will be executive produced for Money Realty by Francis Ridley and for Second Star by the BAFTA-award winning Anthony Owen, who said: “I’m excited to be conjuring up some magic for the launch of BBC Three Online.”

Rachel Ashdown, Commissioning Editor BBC Entertainment, added, “Ben Hart has already proved he is an exciting talent in Killer Magic and I am thrilled he will continue his relationship with BBC Three.”
