BBC commissions fourth series of Objective Entertainment's Alan Carr's Picture Slam with celebrity specials

1 April 2026

Objective Entertainment has secured a fourth and expanded run of Alan Carr’s Picture Slam. Produced alongside OMG Scotland the new series will consist of 9x45 minute episodes, including two celebrity episodes and a celebrity Christmas special.

Alan Carr’s Picture Slam ranks among the top ten quiz shows across all UK channels from January 2023 to date. Over its three series tenure the programme has consistently exceeded three million viewers and has grown year on year, with the most recent series, which aired in November 2025, winning the slot for Adults 16-34 and Adults 35-54 across all UK channels for BBC One.

The fourth series of this addictive quiz show will see host Alan Carr put contestants’ knowledge to the test in a series of fast-paced rounds, as they race to correctly identify as many images as they can for a chance of winning the £10,000 jackpot. Welcoming celebrity guests for the first time promises to deliver extra fun as Alan’s signature humour and the nostalgic gameplay continues to be one of the most entertaining game shows in BBC’s teatime schedule.

Alan Carr says: “I am excited to return for another series of Picture Slam and to spice things up with brand new Celebrity episodes. Being part of this show is always a blast whether you’re in the studio or playing along at home - let’s get picture slamming!”

Neale Simpson, MD Objective Entertainment, adds: “Picture Slam is such a joy to make. Audiences adore Alan and the mischief he brings to the addictive and our inventively visual play-along games. Now we’re thrilled to be introducing celebrities to the mix too.”

Picture Slam (‘9x45’) is made by Objective Entertainment, part of All3Media’s Objective Media Group and was commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC. The Executive Producers are Julie Kelling, Neale Simpson and Ben Shephard for Objective Entertainment and Toby Stevens for OMG Scotland. Chris Hulme is the Series Producer.
