Objective and Moira Ross launch Panda Television

Moira Ross is joining forces with Objective to launch new entertainment label, Panda Television.

Taking up the role in April, Ross will be Panda Television’s Chief Creative Officer, bringing her reputation of producing trail-blazing primetime studio entertainment, and breadth of experience and talent to the All3 Media multi-award winning independent production company.

Ross said: “I'm looking forward to creating some fresh home-grown entertainment, and have no intention of taking my eye off the ball when it comes to Saturday night shows.”

As Head of Entertainment at Wall to Wall, Moira has overseen the entertainment slate for the past four years, including recently commissioned 500 Questions for ITV and been executive producer of BAFTA nominated The Voice for the past five series.

Prior to that Ross was Editor of BBC Format Entertainment where in 2010 she relaunched BBC One's key Saturday primetime series Strictly Come Dancing and oversaw shows such as Tonight’s the Night, So You Think You Can Dance, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Your Country Needs You and the Eurovision Song Contest. Her expertise in the genre extends beyond the UK, having show-run Dance Wars and two series of Dancing with the Stars for ABC in the US.

Layla Smith, Objective CEO, added: “When it comes to Entertainment Moira's track record speaks for itself - she is quite simply the best in the business.”
