CBS renews Objective Media Group’s hit international format LINGO

Hosted by Emmy® Award winner RuPaul Charles, the first series premiered on 10 January with Decider saying ‘RuPaul brings a ton of life to the format, in a way that basically only RuPaul can do.’

“This season CBS is continuing its winning tradition, delivering an unparalleled combination of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “It is a testament to the stellar work being done by our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera that we have had yet another exceptional season, and I know we will only continue to build on this foundation of outstanding programming as we look ahead toward next fall.”

LINGO sees host RuPaul brings his one-of-a-kind personality to this clever, competitive and unpredictable game where teams of two face off in fast-paced puzzle rounds to guess letters that reveal seemingly simple words.

At the end of each one-hour episode, packed with witty commentary and gameplay, the two winning teams will make it through to a nerve-racking final showdown where one team will walk away with an additional big cash prize.

RuPaul Andre Charles serves as LINGO executive producer for RuCo, Inc. along with Layla Smith for Objective Media Group (an All3Media company), Jilly Pearce for Objective Media Group America and Ed de Burgh for Triple Brew Media. Lingo is an All3Media / IDTV and Talpa TV format, distributed by All3Media International.
